Community Candlelight Vigil to Honor Fallen Sterling Volunteer Firefighter Trevor Brown

The community is invited to a heartfelt candlelight vigil in honor of fallen Sterling Volunteer Firefighter (FF) Trevor Brown on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This tribute will take place at the future site of the FF Brown Memorial Park, located at 347 Silver Ridge Drive, Sterling, VA. The FF Brown Memorial Park is scheduled to open at this site on July 26, 2025.

The vigil will be an opportunity for community members, first responders[1] , and local leaders to come together to reflect on Firefighter Brown’s service, bravery, and the ultimate sacrifice he made while protecting the Sterling community. The event will include a moment of silence, remarks from local officials, and a communal lighting of candles as a symbol of remembrance and unity.

• Parking: Attendees are kindly asked to park at Seneca Ridge Middle School or Dominion High School, located nearby. Shuttle services will not be provided, so attendees should plan accordingly.
